Zero Calorie Dijon Garlic Broccoli
3 Cloves garlic, Chopped
3 TBSP dijon mustard
1 TBSP water
2 cups chopped broccoli
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In a saucepan add chopped garlic, dijon mustard, and water. Cook over medium low heat stirring constantly for 3 minutes. This is just to get the bite out of the garlic.
In a bowl, add your chopped broccoli. Pour the sauce over the broccoli.
Stir well.
Add to oven and cook for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. I like my brocolli al dente. If you like it mushy, then cook longer to your desired texture.
Sounds delicious! We will have to give this a try.
ReplyDeleteAre you supposed to pre-cook the brocolli?
ReplyDeleteno. You roast it in the last step as stated in the directions.
DeleteDid you pre-cook the brocolli?
ReplyDeleteI did but it got too dry. The taste was good though.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I don't precook my veggies ever.
DeleteSorry, I didn't mean to ask the same question twice. I thought the first one didn't post. I like your blog, by the way.
ReplyDeleteNo problem, and thank you!!!
DeleteJust bought Dixon mustard and fresh broccoli today! This is going to be my side dish for dinner tomorrow! Thanks for the idea!
